During my Master's thesis at Basler, I worked on dynamic defect pixel correction for electronic cameras - an exciting task with direct practical relevance. I particularly appreciated the technical depth and the support from competent colleagues. My career at Basler continued: immediately afterwards I joined the Production Engineering department as a software developer.

Your apprenticeship begins with a 1 to 2-week introductory phase, during which you will not only lay the foundations for your start with us, but also get to know the team and the corporate culture. This week is all about team building, initial training and comprehensive onboarding. During this time, you will start work on your first own project .

After the introductory phase, you will be introduced to the work and our processes. You will get an early start on your own projects, providing you with the opportunity for independence and personal responsibility . From the very beginning, you will be an integral part of the team and work on an equal footing with all colleagues.

In the course of your training, you will spend time in various departments, where you will gain insights into a wide range of tasks and processes. These areas and tasks are precisely tailored to your needs as well as the requirements of the training framework plan or the specifications of your university, so that you are prepared for your career path in a practical and comprehensive way.

In each department, you will have a contact person who will be at your side as a mentor and support you with all your questions. Through intensive support and regular feedback meetings , you will stay in constant touch with your trainers, so that your development is continuously promoted.

Exchange with other trainees and dual students is important to us. You regularly work together in joint projects and can learn from and support each other.

Since we have a needs-based training model, your chances of being hired after successful completion of the program are very high. It is important to us that you are not only well trained, but also become part of our team in the long term.

In the HR department, you will have a contact person for training management and support.   In addition, you will also have contact people, trainers and training officers in the specialist departments and interface departments.

You will organize these appointments yourself. They take place when your practical assignment in a particular specialist area is coming to an end (usually after 6-8 weeks).
