Small design of the racer 2 S camera

For applications with limited space – particularly small form factor

Due to its compact size and lightweight design, the racer 2 S is well-suited for applications with limited space or where the camera is moved. Additionally, the compatible C-mount lenses provide a cost-effective complete system.

Interfaces of the racer 2 camera series

The ideal interface for many applications

  • GigE: Proven machine vision interface with long cable lengths and sufficient bandwidth 

  • 5GigE: All the benefits of GigE with increased bandwidth for higher line rates 

  • CXP-12: The interface for demanding factory applications or multi-camera setups. Image preprocessing on the frame grabber possible. 

The racer 2 S offers these interfaces, while the racer 2 L offers the high-performance CXP-12 interface.

Stable camera temperature for temperature-sensitive applications

If a stable temperature is crucial in your application, the racer 2 L offers an ideal choice with its cooling solutions. 

With the racer 2 L, various types of cooling solutions can be attached to the back of the camera: 

  • Passive cooling fins: for applications with lower ambient temperatures 

  • Active compressed air cooler: for applications where consistent temperatures are required (e.g. battery inspection). The heat from the camera is actively dissipated from the overall system and the temperature does not increase.
